Hello Everyone:
A lot of you know who I am, and a lot of you don’t, but that’s ok. I have only been at Redeemer for two and a half years. Even though I have only been here a short amount of time I feel that this church has helped me get closer to Jesus than ever before. I used to be Roman Catholic before coming to Redeemer and I have to say making that switch was the best decision my family has ever made. The ministries and events that Redeemer has… far out-number any that were ever held at our old church. From youth group to being an acolyte, and everything in between, Redeemer has it all.
One example of this is the ministries involved in helping others. Community service not only brought me closer to other people, but these interactions brought me closer to Jesus. Some examples of this are the Dominican Republic mission trips, Day 4 Hope, and Vacation Bible School. I feel like all of these service opportunities have brought me closer to Jesus. These service activities were not only fun and enjoyable but they were empowering. The act of ministry for others has really helped me and my faith in my life. Redeemer has made me so happy as because it has given me so many opportunities to help out in the community.
Redeemer has also provided me with extensive knowledge and fun as well from EYC every Sunday, Friday Morning Bible Study, which was worth getting up early almost every week, and Saint Michael’s Conference. All of these not only provide multiple learning experiences that make me feel closer to Jesus in understanding the liturgy to making friends with other people looking to learn more about Jesus. All of these events are not only a lot of fun, but every single one is memorable and sticks with you. This is one of the main reasons I am happy to have joined Redeemer as I could have never imagined doing activities like this before coming to this church, and I could have never felt as close to Christ as I do now.
So I would just like to thank everyone here at Redeemer for making a great environment for spiritual growth and development for youth of all ages and who have spent any amount of time at the church.
