Funerals

“The liturgy for the dead is an Easter liturgy. It finds all its meaning in the resurrection. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we, too, shall be raised. So, while we rejoice that one we love has entered into the nearer presence of our Lord, we sorrow in sympathy with those who mourn.” — Book of Common Prayer, page 507

Please report the death of a member of the parish to the church as soon as possible by calling the parish office. The family of the deceased should then confer with a priest concerning the funeral arrangements.

Funeral services at Redeemer are customarily a requiem mass with Holy Communion. All burial rites will follow the Book of Common Prayer.
