Every member of the parish can receive pastoral care. The parish offers specific programs for many pastoral care needs, including counseling, hospital visits, homebound visits, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and more. Counseling

Members of the Redeemer clergy are available for individual counseling, premarital counseling, and marriage counseling. Please make an appointment by calling the parish office at 941-955-4263. The parish also has partnered with Samaritan Counseling Services of the Gulf Coast for on-site counseling at Redeemer. Samaritan provides professional, spiritually integrated counseling services for all age groups, from children to seniors. It accepts insurance from major providers and works on a sliding scale for clients unable to afford full fees. Licensed Clinical Social Worker Laura Johnston has a private office on the Redeemer campus. Hospital Visits and Outpatient Surgeries

Members of the Redeemer clergy team travel to area hospitals Mondays through Fridays and on Sundays to visit and pray with parishioners who are hospitalized. Please let us know if you or a loved one are in the hospital or having outpatient surgery by calling the parish office at 941-955-4263. Due to regulations, hospitals no longer provide this info to churches, so to receive a visit from a priest, you or a loved one must notify Redeemer directly. 

Homebound

Members of the Redeemer clergy team as well as parishioners who are trained Lay Eucharistic Visitors make visits to parishioners who are homebound and those who are temporarily unable to attend services due to illness or physical difficulty. If you or a loved one would like to receive a visit, please call the parish office at 941-955-4263.

Funeral Planning

Redeemer clergy and staff are available to help you arrange requiems or burial services for yourself or a loved one. Please call Executive Assistant to the Clergy and Pastoral Care Coordinator Angela Ward at AWard@RedeemerSarasota.org to begin the planning process. Pastoral Emergencies

If you have a pastoral emergency, you can call the parish office at 941-955-4263 at any time. After hours, an automated message will instruct you on how to leave a message, which the on-call priest will receive.
