Antonio Leal

Antonio Leal is a member of the Hispanic Ministry at Redeemer and serves as the general lay coordinator of the Ministry. He also manages the livestream of the mass in Spanish on Sundays at 1 p.m. and the contemporary mass on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Antonio has participated in Day 4 Hope for the last seven years and has been a member of the Day 4 Hope Safety Team for the last four years.

Antonio works in construction. He is married to Martha Ascencio and has six children. He and his family have attended Redeemer for 14 years. Antonio enjoys having fun with his family, helping his younger children with their homework, and watching his children grow. He has participated in radio talk shows, written for Hispanic Sarasota-Manatee area magazines, and served as co-host of a YouTube opinion broadcast about news impacting the community. His favorite sport is baseball.

Antonio was received into the Episcopal Church seven years ago. He says when he attends mass at Redeemer, his soul is touched by the word of God, and his spirit is in constant joy. Antonio says Redeemer has given him tools to establish a fluid dialogue with God through prayer.
