This Saturday, August 28
Men of Redeemer are gathering for an afternoon at The Shamrock! MOR invites Redeemer men to The Shamrock at 2257 Ringling Blvd. in Sarasota for beer, a bite, and fellowship from 1-5 p.m. The first round is on MOR!
It’s time for our Parents’ Night Out Interactive Cooking Class with Chef Jeff Trefry for parents of Redeemer children and youth. The class, which features Spanish cuisine this year, will be at 6:30 p.m. in Gillespie Hall. (Pre-registration was required.)
This Sunday, August 29
Our nursery is open at the 9 a.m.,11 a.m., and 1 p.m. masses for infants 6 weeks old through children 3 years old. Children’s Chapel will be held during the 9 a.m. mass. And it’s another wonderful week of Sunday School starting at 10:10 a.m.
Sharing Our Faith, a talk by parishioner Harry Lewis, will be held at 10:15 a.m. in Goewey Hall. We hope you’ll join us to hear from Harry.
SASS, our Singles’ Adult Sunday School, will meet at 10:15 a.m. in Room 220. Lana Mullen will teach “Praying the Psalms.” Refreshments will be served, and all single adults are invited.
Join us for the Acolyte Event in Gillespie Hall at 10:15 a.m. Enjoy an ice cream bar while you learn about what Fr. Chris Wood calls “one of the most formational experiences for a young Christian.” Sunday School classes — grades 3 and up — will attend. Anyone 8 years old and up is eligible to be an acolyte, including adults.
Sunday School teachers will attend a workshop at 11 a.m. in Goewey Hall.
Senior EYC will meet from 6-7:30 p.m. in Gillespie Hall. Those in grades 9-12 will reflect on the 37 verses in the Bible that contain the phrase “one another” and how that can help us create a community that reflects God’s mission.
