A Message from the Rector — Friday, October 4, 2024
Dear Redeemer Family,
As you know, Hurricane Helene devastated portions of our county and surrounding areas. Many of you are asking how you can help.
Redeemer’s Director of Outreach Ministries, Jackie Overton, is hard at work, assessing needs in our community and beyond, and developing unique ways Redeemer can alleviate suffering and provide comfort that will make a difference long after first responders have gone and initial cleanup has taken place. Until that plan is finalized, there are two things I encourage you to do with immediate effect:
1. Click here to donate to Redeemer’s Disaster Relief Fund.
2. Pray for all affected by Hurricane Helene.
We also have a needs request form and a volunteer form you can submit. Do you have a need we might be able to help with? Can you volunteer to help us with local hurricane relief efforts? Click here to fill out the needs request form. Click here to fill out the volunteer form.
In times of disaster or darkness, we follow the God who draws near. I am fully confident that same Lord will use our prayers and efforts to bring hope and healing to those who need it most.
Your servant,
The Rev. Charleston D. Wilson
Rector, Church of the Redeemer
