Join us Saturday, November 13, at 10:30 a.m. for a Widows’/Widowers’ Might Luncheon and Presentation at Redeemer on grief and mindfulness with Laura Johnston, MSW, LCSW, from Samaritan Counseling Services.
We will explore the potential benefits of mindfulness techniques as we experience grief. We will discuss questions such as:
-
- What is mindfulness?
- Why does it help?
- What are some mindfulness practices?
We will also practice techniques such as mindfulness meditation, breath meditation, and mindful journaling. We will close with a discussion of tasks of grieving, creating a new normal, transformation, and thriving.
