From Guilt to Grace. Between the 9 and 11 AM Masses each Sunday morning in February, parishioner Michael Hartenstine will teach an adult class on the impact of Martin Luther and the Reformation on the Church. The class series will consider the state of the Church in 1500, the prevalence of clerical abuses, the sale of indulgences, the contest for ecclesiastical authority, and the Reformation’s lasting changes on Christian worship, practice, and belief. Mike received his A.B. in History, magna cum laude, from Harvard College, where his studies concentrated on the history of the ancient Church. Meeting in Room 220.
