Urgent Feedback Needed: Bishop’s Search Committee Survey

Our Next Bishop: A Limited Time to Make Your Voice Heard!

Dear Redeemer Family,

As most of you have heard, Bishop Dabney Smith is retiring. The search for our next bishop is well underway. A big part of finding candidates is a diocesan-wide survey that every parishioner should complete. A survey was released last Friday that must be completed electronically. Survey submissions are due Wednesday, June 30. I cannot overstate how important your participation in this process is. This is your opportunity to make your voice heard, and the Committee wants to hear from each of us. So, please stop what you’re doing and take the survey found at the links below:

More about the survey from the SWFL Bishop Coadjutor Search Committee:

The job of selecting the candidate who will become the 6th Bishop of the Diocese of Southwest Florida is an awesome task, but every parishioner throughout this diverse diocese will have a say in how this process advances. To gauge the feelings of each church member, an online survey is now available. The individual responses to this anonymous survey will be kept strictly confidential and will be used collectively to prepare a profile of the diocese, giving potential candidates and the Search Committee an idea of what kind of person would make the ideal next bishop for Southwest Florida. The Committee is asking everyone to prayerfully consider the seven questions included in the survey, which should take about 10 minutes to complete. Answers must be submitted by June 30. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Search Committee at Info@BishopSearchSWFL.org.
