Fr. W. Patrick Edwards of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Southampton, NY will preach at Redeemer on Sunday, 1 November at the 9 AM and 11 AM masses.
Fr W. Patrick Edwards is Rector of Saint John’s Episcopal Church and Vicar of Saint Andrew’s Dune Church in Southampton, Long Island. Following a career in engineering, he has served parishes in various capacities in Atlanta, Wisconsin, Louisiana, and Long Island. He has also taught courses in Bible, History of Religion in America, and History of World Religions at the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge. His studies include Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Georgia Tech, History and Politics at Oglethorpe University, Divinity at Nashotah House, and Liturgics at The School of Theology at Sewanee. With his beloved wife, Deborah, he shares four lovely children as well as two wretchedly spoiled corgis, George and Ringo.
Between the 9 AM & 11 AM masses, he will teach on his latest research: Pandemics and the Church: A History, in Gillespie Hall at 10:20 AM.
